Petit Vour Vegan Beauty Box November 2016 Review
Happy Petit Vour Unboxing Day! If you’re new to Petit Vour, it’s a monthly subscription box that comes loaded with samples (including full-sized ones) from fancy, vegan, cruelty-free, and non-toxic brands. You can peep all my previous PV box reviews here. This goodie box is only $15 a month (super duper good deal, especially considering this month’s box is valued at $38.50) and includes free shipping in the U.S. ($23 for Canada).
You’ll also be able to earn points in their shop with every purchase, review, and friend rec.
November’s Petit Vour Beauty Box included:
Elate Clean Cosmetics Universal Creme in Love,* $20 – This is a super subtle multi-tasker for lips and cheeks – its gives them a natural flush that’s soft and dewy. I love the pure, creamy, moisturizing formula, and it applies so effortlessly. I appreciate the eco-friendly cardboard packaging, too.
W3LL People Realist Invisible Setting Powder, $1.50 – I’ve been anxious to try more products from this green beauty brand, so I got excited to see this setting powder pop up in PV. It has the simplest ingredients, which I’m all about: cornstarch, aloe powder, arrowroot, silica, chamomile, and green tea. I’ve personally been rocking a dewy makeup look lately because my skin in hella dry and all types of powders love to nestle into my fine lines and creases… not good. Gonna hold onto this and try it out when my skin looks less lizard-y.
We Love Eyes Tea Tree Eyelid & Eyelash Makeup Remover, $6 – I use straight up jojoba oil as makeup remover, so these types of products naturally appeal to me – they remove even the most stubborny of stubborn makeup. This particular one is made with a blend of jojoba, grape seed, and tea tree oil. While I adore the brand name, packaging, and concept, if you’re not ready to splurge on something like this, I definitely recommend rocking a DIY version.
Ellovi Body Scrub in Jasmine Rose* (Subscribers received one of five different scents), $7.50 – I was super stoked that I got this floral one because I totally have a thing for jasmine (would have been even more stoked to have received Mint Chocolate – one of my fav scents EVA, still #geatful tho’), but the smell doesn’t come through very well; it’s very subtle. Scent aside, this scrub is mega moisturizing, and leaves my hands (yep, I use these things almost exclusively on my hands to avoid messy tubs and showers) feeling crazy soft.
* = PV faves
Overall impression: Lots of value in this month’s box – $35 worth of goodies for $15 (with free shipping, yee-haw!). Box faves included Ellovi’s body scrub and Elate’s lip & cheek creme. Gah, I love the oil-based makeup remover from We Love Eyes, too. Btw, this month’s PV box featured two Oakland, CA brands which has a special place in my heart (both of my babies were born there, and I’ll forever be obsessed with Bay Area redwoods). ♥
If you like what you see, you should consider hooking yourself up with a Petit Vour subscription! Also, you can buy products you love directly from PV’s online store. Customers (even non-subscribers) receive 20% back in PV Points with every shop purchase. It’s like a constant 20% discount and when you combine that with the free shipping on all orders $50+… it’s an insane deal. xx
